Experience/requirements:

At least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license
Must pass pre-hire background check and drug screen
General building skills and experience
Able to lift and carry 50 pounds unassisted to load, unload, and move various products/materials
Capable of climbing (including ladders), stooping, kneeling, crawling, and standing as needed to perform daily work

Job expectations/duties:

Project plan/blueprint reading
Detail-oriented and exceptional time management
Display good communication skills and awareness of customers
Time and budget management to help remain within scope of projects
Show hardworking attitude and dedication to the brand and mission of WeatherTek Exteriors
Review your daily work schedule and ensure truck is loaded with all necessary product(s), materials, and tools/equipment for the day
Complete vehicle safety and job site inspections
Help team safely and efficiently unload and stage materials and equipment at job site
Perform warehouse-related duties as required
Report safety, customer, or quality concerns to leadership as necessary

Additional information:

We are currently hiring installers to support our roofing, siding, gutters, window/door, and deck services. As much as this job entails, no formal education is required. Many contractors start as laborers to learn the trades, develop their capabilities as skilled builders, and then learn how to operate as a general contractor by keen observation and hard work on the job. Anyone with skills and experience in building/design, as well as knowledge of estimating, plan reading, and the other necessary abilities you’ll develop in this position can venture to become a general contractor. Of course, should you decide that formal education is the right route for you, you can pursue a degree in building science, construction management, or another related field.
